As I was up all too early this morning, and no one else has done so, I present the start of the weekend thread.

I love that shot! Very calming effect... I bet the water was at a lovely temperature as well

This shot was taken on Dec. 31st in NY.

Used Kodak Tri-X 400 and developed it in D76 that someone else had mixed. I still haven't used my own, but the results seem pretty good.

This one was from August of last year. I had a polarizer filter on, and no tripod and the only light source was the bright neon red "Pepsi Cola" sign at Gantry State Park in Long Island City. Used Velvia 100. I'm surprised my cousin Diana didn't turn completely red, crab-people style.

I have always disliked Fuji Acros, maybe because it's such a disappointment next to its Neopan siblings. When I buy a stash of film I usually end up with a few of these. Checking The Massive Devchart the other day I noticed a recipe for pushing it to 200 ISO with a note that said 'High contrast'. So I shot a roll at 200 ISO and souped it in Xtol for 13 minutes. I must say I liked the result much better than shooting it at box speed.

Contax 645 / Zeiss Sonnar 140mm f2.8 / Fuji Acros @ 200 ISO in Xtol

I don't have anything to contribute (yet), but I feel the need to write and say "wow" to the contributions so far! Good job, my fellow filmwasters! I like every single shot so far. The interesting compositions of both O2Pilot's and Kevin's shots are amazing. And your shots, Miguel, are getting better and better every week! Thanks to all of you for sharing the photos. And Kai really makes the Acros shine. Good job with raising the contrast. Good compositions as well!

Thanks! I've definitely learned a lot in this (almost) year of being a member. From developing my first roll of film to making good friends in real life!

Hookstrapped, I love the effect on the film. The streaks look like a heart monitor, refusing to flatline.

Kentmere 400 in Rodinal 1+50.Not sure what this line is on the upper left-hand side it was an all of my frames on that roll. When I changed out the roll later that day the line was gone. I'm glad I'm back at developing film again.I took a little break.

Finally have something to contribute. We had some very warm weather in Toronto earlier this month which brought some strange lighting conditions to the city and a lot of fog and haze even in the middle of the day when it was at its warmest.

Here's some from my latest roll I processed a couple weeks ago and printed last week. (didnt scan until mid week though so no posts!) Scans don't do these prints justice though. I feel like I'm getting the hang of printing and getting through a roll isn't very intimidating anymore. It also helps when you mix up your paper developer properly... I was mixing it up at half strength so consistency wasn't the best to start learning on. Almost finished a roll of HP5+ and I'm really looking forward to seeing the printed results from that. I'm hoping to like it and have it be my new daily 400 speed film moving forward. The idea of spooling off short rolls from a bulk roll really appeals to me as I want to get shots out quicker and I take so long to get through rolls these days!

Shot on Miguel's Fujica 35, unintentional double exposure (aren't the unintentional ones always the best?

). Redscaled Fuji Superia 400, shot at 12, developed C41 bleach bypass. I'm hitting all the "alternative processing" steps here, aren't I?

The Choupal National Forest in Coimbra, Portugal has a canal that forms one boundary. It’s function is to regulate the water supply for the adjoining agricultural fields. One feature is an interesting aeration point with two small waterfalls built in. I made three trips to photograph it. These are from the first visit—Olympus OM1, 50mm Zuiko lens, Fujicolor 200, processed and scanned at FotoFrancisco, Cantanhede.

I have an orchid plant with one white flower left and it's been like this for three months. All the other flowers have long since dried up and dropped off, this one is hanging on, the petals still feel fresh. Ideal to fill a few frames. First attempt, heavy crop and spot, background is not right still needs some work. I like the gritty effect, not something you would normally look for in flower pictures.

SLVR, it's good to see paper prints, and yours are looking great. Are you using fiber? I want to but haven't found a way to flatten them to my liking. I came this close to buying a Craigs List dry mount press last year.

Hey Jeff, I'm using resin coated paper for now. Haven't dove into Fibre yet. I'm using a Arkay print dryer. Keeps the prints nice and flat, but the paper doesn't do anything too weird to begin with.

Hope to get more time to print soon, I'm starting to get the hang of it and it's really fun when you have some idea of what you're doing.
