Topic: Which Polaroid 600 camera?

With the reduction in price of Polaroid 600 film I've been thinking about picking up an old 600 camera.

I've narrowed it to the Sun 660 or the Impulse AF. Which would you recommend? I've never used a 600 camera before so any advice would be appreciated.

Maybe I should have said I'm mainly interested in portraits, hence going for the AF versions.

Polaroid's Sonar AF system is to me the best AF ever invented. I don't really like the box cameras and love the folders, but I guess you've narrowed your choices down to 2 boxes so I'm not going to try to change your mind Enjoy the autofocus though!

I dont know those models so well... but there are some AF SX70s that'll take 600 film... just saying...

I think I have both in my collection.
From memory the impulse is the wedge shaped one while the sun is a box.

They both are sonar equipped, but the sun has the ability to take images without flash, which is not the case with the impulse.

So I'd go for the sun even if it doesn't look half as good.

Thanks Francois, just the sort of insight I needed. The Sun it is.

It's one of those odd features that people usually don't know about. On the button, there is the main button but if you look closely there is a small tab under the button that slides in the same slot. When you use the tab, the flash doesn't go off (it's controlled by the red button).

On the Impulse, they used a button like on the spectras but haven't put any switch to turn the flash off.
