Analog v. Digital - the exhibition (and meet-up?)

Hey,

I got a pic in this show (Team Analog, of course)

If any New York City (greater metro area) Filmwasters are around, it would be great to make the opening on Aug 16 a mini meet-up. It's in the LES, so bars and food are nearby

Unfortunately, I work on August 16... However, if it was during the weekend I'd be up for it! I can take the NJ Transit from Trenton to NYC and be there in no time.

Maybe I'm biased but I think the Analog stuff is much more interesting than the Digital overall

Anyone who is in the area should go just to see Peter's print. It is FABULOUS :o Vibrant, tactile, detailed ... almost looks better than the real thing :D

It really was kind of a surprise to see how good it looked. It's a 11 x 14 color print of one of my Fuji FP100C scanned negatives. And I've always struggled with trying to find the right level of darkness to save it at for the screen. But then to try to find it for a print... I tested with both digital C-print and inkjet and ended up with inkjet on matte paper. And a gallery wall is a well-lit space, so a dark print works well. The print really made the pic come alive
