a walk in the bosque
« on: February 13, 2017, 05:40:30 AM »
A weekend walk in the Bosque along the Rio Grande in Albuquerque

I recently joined a "friends of the bosque" group, mainly to get a parking pass and to occasionally help with trail cleanup/maintenance.
This particular trail is about 2 miles if you go the long route, which I did.
It is shared by all sorts of wildlife, and if you look in one of the photos, you can see horseshoe prints.
The Cottonwoods are some of my favorite trees in this area and look pretty cool with or without their leaves.
I heard a Great Horned Owl while walking, but never saw it.

My camera du jour was the Olympus Infinity 3.5 with some old Tri-s dunked in Arista Premium 1+9 for 8 minutes.
Walking in the woods has always been an escape for me and a reset of sorts and with the current state of world affairs, the bosque will probably be my refuge for a while.

Really nice, Becky.  Purely because of the lighting, the middle one is the one for me. Print, frame and hang that one  ;)

Very set nice Becky.  I'm with Paul - the middle shot is lovely but they all make a beautiful set.

The three work together very well, offering different moods like variations on a theme

thank you all very much.
The middle one is my fav as well, so I may indeed print and frame it.

I'm hoping to do similar sets as the seasons change...that's a cliche I reckon, but since I will be going here a lot, I  may as well..
Thank you again.     :)

Becky, the middle photo is absolutely GORGEOUS. Yes, print it, frame it, get it on a t-shirt, a mug, get some stickers printed up....the whole nine yards. It's a winner.
