Nice portrait Reinhold. I shot some expired Fuji Eterna 500T at 800 in my Chinon CP-5 and push processed 1 stop.

Wow, that was fast.
Not midnight here yet but what the heck...
Here is one from my new and fixed Ondu 6x6. Took forever to finish the roll but this time, no major light leaks :)

Great portrait Reinhold!  It's still Thursday afternoon for me but here's my contribution.  Rolleiflex Automat with Ilford Pan F Plus 50 developed in Beer.  The first used a yellow filter and the second used a No. 1 Rondo Close Up lens.

I like the composition of that second one, Bryan.

Mine is some melting river ice on the Hudson a few weeks ago. Canon L1, Nikkor 135/3.5, HP5+ in Caffenol C-H(RS):

A fast and furious start for the weekend. Reinhold's fine portrait has that certain je ne sais quoi. Kevin Allan's harbour stuff photo is just gorgeous. Bryan had developed his film in beer! I foresee a possibility to combine my two main hobbies.

Here is my contribution. The film used is Rollei Retro 400S (a.k.a. Agfa Aviphot 200) shot at EI 160 and developed in Rodinal, 1+25.

Some car-related shots from me this week.

B+W: Leica M4-P, Summicron 50/2, Tri-X. Wandering around the neighborhood on a rainy day, trying to finish the roll.

Color: Hasselblad 501CM, 80/2.8 and 150/4, Portra 400. NHRA Winternationals in Pomona, CA. One of the few remaining dragstrips in Southern California; and one of the rare motorsports in which one is free to wander around the pits with a camera, and chat with the drivers and crew.

Lovely photos from all :) I am particularly struck by the deep blacks in Andrej's photo ... I don't believe I've ever been able to coax that deepness out of HP5. Did you use a filter, or (from the photo insults thread) any dicking around with it? :D (no insult intended, of course ;) )

If your interested in developing with beer you can find the recipe at the end of this thread.

Well, part of the look is simply presenting it in a black "frame"; I tried it in my usual white and it lost a lot of the impact. Beyond that, I didn't really do much of anything to it after scanning. My usual routine involves a slight increase in contrast for almost everything because my developing routine and the way I scan tend to produce lots of tonality but a somewhat flat look. This one didn't get any more than usual. No filter, just a big deep hood and some really good Nikkor glass (the 85 and 135 I have from Nikon are both quite special).
Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

A late visit for the weekend thread for me.  Great images this week!  And thanks to EarlJam for giving me pleasant memories of going to the races with my dad as a kid.

This is from Friday night.

Might as well slip in at the end of this thread. Taken on the Manhattan Highline on Saturday. Polaroid Automatic 100 on Fuji FP100C, negative recovery. Amazingly narrow depth of field for an f/8 lens, I guess because I was so close to the subject :)

Had this roll of tri-x 400 push to 800  sitting around for about 6 months, I finally had a chance  to  develop it yesterday.  There was a get together for a drink and click for Olympus and Panasonic here in San Diego at some Brewery. I was the only one around with a film camera  I did see another guy with a Leica M9.

Take me back to the 80's please !!! I don't  like this time ..

Looks like a Star Wars themed night (for at least 2 of the participants) :) The woman in the R2D2 dress excites two of my loves (women and Star Wars, in case it wasn't obvious ;D ). Also, do you live in SD? I was just there a couple of weeks ago and got together with JHarr. If I'd known you live there too I'd have invited you as well...

Those were the models for that event that they had, some local camera store sponsored it from  Olympus and Panasonic you can test out their gear and  the models would pose for you. Pretty neat all you have to do is just bring your SD card and they set up all the lighting for you.

Next time shoot me a PM  whenever you're in San Diego and we'll grab a beer.

I'm not sure what that thing was they were standing  next to.
