For those interesting in the evolution of Cities or Architecture might find this exhibition interesting.

Colmore Business District, in partnership with Brumpic and The Library of Birmingham present #NicklinUnseen; an outdoor photographic exhibition that catalogues the wide-ranging changes that happened in Birmingham during the 1950’s and 60’s.

The exhibition will be held in Snow Hill Square from October 2015 to January 2016.  Members of the public are encouraged to take a few moments to discover, reminisce and reflect on the changes that have shaped the city.

Phyllis Nicklin was a lecturer in the Department of Extramural Studies at the University of Birmingham during the 1950’s and 1960’s.  During her time in post, she took thousands of photographs from across the city which have remained in the University archive.
