Jonas, I agree: 400H does some very nice things with colors.  My contributions this week are the results of some experimenting with more of that Agfa XPS 160, this time late at night by a country road.  I thought I was going to shoot a skyscape with full moon but all I got was the moon.  I had been certain I had left the aperture wide open but in reality it was set at f/16!  These were a couple of shots of passing cars I knocked off just to finish the roll.

nice shot btw, some pleasant clouds in the background. you used a long tele for this?

kai-san: I like what I see. seems like some interesting details in those old churches. might we see a photo essay too? :)

terry: bummer about the aperture miss! and yeah, 400h left an impression. I got a roll in 120 from a filmswap with emulsive.org that I'm looking forward to try -maybe in a fine winter evening actually.

The GA645Zi has a short zoom of about 35-55mm equivalent so it couldn't have been shot longer than 55mm. I probably used an orange filter to bring out the clouds.

Some quality work again this week.

My stand out images this week are:
Vlokers 3 graces
Terry's light trails
Gimenosaiz's beautiful portraits

Here's my contribution, made in Margate while scouting out locations for my son's 'Chasing Light' gradute film.

Thanks for the kind words and commiserations.  Thanks to Macfred for the side-by-side comparison.  Seems like Portra renders deeper reds and blues and Fuji (still) favors the greens.  I recall when the Fuji look was desaturated and green--they seem to have improved it a lot with 400H.  (And those are some envy-inducing boats there...)

Thanks Jonas! A photo essay is a good idea, but I'm still waiting for some E6 films to materialize from the lab. I hope to have them next week. In the mean time I have 9 B&W films to scan (puh!).

Glad you liked it, Matt! I think the builders had a challenge with that staircase, it probably did not work out as expected.

Those are brilliant portraits Antonio!! And the Aeroektar makes them so dreamy! :)

Here's my contribution. Dengue Fever is a really cool band that recreates a 1960's Cambodian pop/spy movie sound. They played last night at LPR [(le) Poisson Rouge] and all the Cambodians in town showed up :) Well, not nearly, but it was fun to be in a room of so many Cambodians enjoying their old school music :)

I also have a steeple. This particular one is attached to a church dating from 1799 in Woodstock, NY. Leica IIIc, Voigtländer Snapshot Skopar 25/4, FP4+ in Caffenol C-H(RS).

That's actually really clean shot!

I'm thinking about bringing one of my film cameras to the AC DC concert in a couple of weeks it's going to be an Dodger stadium but I'm not sure if they're going to let me in with it. Usually they let cameras in without interchangeable lenses so I'm probably going to bring my Canon g12. I would hate to walk back to my car just to put the camera back but then again I just might do it.

I went to Irving Plaza once and they didn't even let me in with my Canonet. Meanwhile, everyone with an iPhone walked right in. This is a really weird double standard they have.

So on Thursday 10th I took a day off and headed out for Rye armed with the Seagull TLR and the Minolta Hi-Matic F.
I shot a roll of colour in each, but haven't developed them yet (waiting until I have another roll or two before I break open the Tetenal), but Saturday I developed the rolls of Ilford FP4+ I shot as well.

This metal building stands along the path from Rye Harbour to the coast.

A little further along is this old pillbox.

In Rye itself I went up St. Mary's Church tower - which was a tight squeeze - and took a few shots from up there.

Lucky shot of the day was this one, focusing on the old gate when all the birds took off.

I especially like Paul and Diane's pinholes. You inspire me to try new techniques.

that I can really recommend.
