Not very old, but fairly pushed!
I should have added a little extra dev-time instead of taking Ilford's recommendations straight out, other than that I think it did ok - but it will do much better as a print :-) The negs looks relly nice!

Reviving an old favourite thread since I found this specimen last weekend. It ought to have been in colour since this one was totally covered in red rust, but of course I had B&W in my camera. I went back today but the whole lot had been cleared out.

Two bike images from me. First is an unusual Alpex bike with curved seat tube and chainstays. This was on display with about twenty others, in a classic car show - the owner told me had 127 bikes in all !

The second image is my own Ridgeback Panorama World Tour, resting on a trip round Kielder Water.

Quality touring bike, that Jackson.

I used to be a bike mechanic, and collector of old/exotic bikes. Until, that is, about 2009, when people started using fixed gear on the road in London, and prices rocketed! When I started, they were just old bikes.

Then, I was burgaled. Probably £20,000 worth of bicycles, some very rare. I was astonished to feel relief that I didn't have to worry about them anymore.

And this summer, I intend to fix and sell most of what is left.

Are there any other collectors in Filmwasterland? Or are you just photographers?

I'm glad that my collecting hasn't gone from cameras to bikes! one bike, one set of wheels instead of the one camera, one film dogma ;D

I'm not a collector, but perhaps a bit of an accumulator. I've got four at the moment, of which three are "classics": a Bianchi Strada given to me by a friend and extensively rebuilt (Shimano 600 - just built new wheels for it last week), a Giant 780(?) MTB rescued from the dump that was revived with a new geartrain and wheels, and a gaspipe Gitane with a Campy Gran Sport 1x5 setup (also getting new wheels once I get them finished). None of them are worth much as collectibles (aside from some of the parts), but I built them to be ridden by me, and for that purpose they are quite valuable indeed.
Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

yeah you don't see things like that so much nowadays. maybe people get occupied enough with internet so they don't have to pull bikes ridiculous heights to spend the time ;)
