It seemed like a good idea to start up a thread for all the survivors of the recent New York chapter's excursion to Beacon to post their photos. Here's a few of mine to kick things off. All shot with my contest prize Leica IIIc and hacked Nikon L35AF/LTM 35/2.8.

Oh man those are good.

In 2 hours I'm heading off to that other place where they speak English (but with a funny accent) and won't be back till the beginning of June. I expect I'll be the last one to post anything in this thread, if I even remember to develop the damn rolls once I get back :)

In the meantime, does anyone have any suggestions on how to develop E4 film in C41 chems? I've done it before, but with pretty poor results. Peter suggested I give it the Rodinal "it develops anything" treatment, but I'd like to try to coax some color out of it if possible...

You should have taken those crayons from Max's.

I got the one roll of Rerapan I shot souped and scanned.  Here are a couple.  Some camera nut walked into my shot...

The (hip) coolness of your digital tripod no doubt kept the heat away.

Andrej's shot of the second pub captures the cool very nicely.

My experiment with monobath developing was a bit of a failure -- bromide drag, uneven development top to bottom, fogging.  I did the 6 minutes stand at 80 F.  I was able to reduce the bromide drag a bit with the second roll by doing a single inversion at 2 and 4 minutes, but still have it and the other problems.  It must be the ammonia because I didn't use an ammonia hydrometer (which, BTW, is not easily available).  I figured my dollar store ammonia would be the 5% rather than 10% that is also supposedly a common household formula, but maybe it's 10% (what value!).  I'll cut the amount next roll.

Nice shots guys. I especially like Terry's bath and Peter's window reflection.

Time for some color. All with the Konica III on Kodak Gold 200 - I really like the way this lens renders color.

Yay, no frame skipping! My Yashica did pretty well, too. Cut off a bit of the last frame, but still left plenty of usable material:

And I love that Maier shot.  Perfectly exposed.

Satish said he took one of the insane window too.  Guess it'll be a month or so before we find out about that.

More color. I was actually a bit surprised how pleased I was with the color shots overall, as I've been moving more and more toward B&W for a while now. But then I'm fickle.

I like the beer matrix shot, Andrej; it has that mad scientist aura we were talking about in the bar.

A couple more.  One is the sister of the woman having a bath in the shop window in Beacon, a shop window near Grand Central.  The other is the old railway station in Beacon.

OK, this is probably the last batch from me. I finally finished up the film I started just before the city contingent got on the train; a few of these are from that roll.

Finally getting through that backlog!

I explained in the weekend thread some issues I had with Fomapan in the Lubitel. Fortunately, those issues were not present in the Yashica, so it's not the film per se but the combination of that film in my Lubitel, which seems to be scratching the film to hell.

But whatever the film, I am loving this Yashica!!

The ballet shoes came out perfectly!

They did, didn't they? Thanks! I was so pleased, especially after seeing the other three rolls come out so grainy and scratched.

They don't exactly have a good history together, it's true ;)

Here I am, only a month late! :D I have a whole bunch of shots from the walk, so I'll divide them into a few different posts. First up, a roll of Ektachrome Elite II, which I hate when shot at +1EV and processed in C41 (which is my norm for any E6 film), so I redscaled it, threw it in my Graflex Ciro, and shot it at something in the zipcode of sunny 3.5. Came out GREAT. To wit:

I have no idea what happened here, but I like it!

I think this is a double of Peter with the beer gauges that you see below.

A few shots from the XA with Velvia xpro'd in C41. Usually xpro Velvia comes out very red, not sure why these came out more "normal", but I'm not complaining.

Shhhh! Be wery wery quiet ... we're hunting wabbit!

And finally, all the WPC shots I took. I tell you, this camera can NOT take a bad picture! I really really love it.

Ektachrome EPT160 xpro in C41

The rest of these are captioned as such:
Everyone: "Satish, hurry up, the train is coming!"
Satish: "But I gotta blow out this roll! Gimme a second. Or wait, I mean 14 seconds. Per exposure  :-[ "

I also took a roll of Ektachrome-X which I only later found out is E4 process. But I'll save that for a separate thread since I have some questions and comments on the process and would like some advice.
