Weekend 23rd-25th January
« on: January 23, 2015, 07:19:30 AM »
Nothing new this week, again, due to grotty weather. I'm dreaming of summertime ...

Found an exposed roll of Rollei Retro 400s in a draw in the kitchen. Pretty sure it went through a Mamiya C220 but it may have been a Rolleiflex 3.5E (I suspect the former though). Developed in R09 One Shot, scanned with Epson V600.

great pinholes!

an iphone image of a platinum print, is that allowed?

darkroom back in operation after the floods, making my own chemicals now, and liking the new ferric oxalate I've made up, it goes off quick, so by the time it got through customs it was already starting to 'go off'

before the flood I had intended to send this image to my teacher and mentor David Chow, but he sadly died at the new year, he will be missed

Dave that's amazing.  So cool.

I found a roll of T-Max400 way in the back of the freezer and expired, so I took it for a walk this week.

Have a great weekend everybody.

I haven't mastered it like Adam yet but did have fun playing with it last week.  These were shot on Fujifilm FP-3000b with a Polaroid 250 Land Camera.

A couple of shots from my hike up Crowders Mountain last week with my Crown Graphic. I've developed 6 out of the 14 sheets I exposed and they were all overexposed and contrasty once I scanned them. I had to knock back the exposure and tame some of the contrast in photoshop. Hopefully the remaining exposures will be better.

I love Astrobeck's Holga shot, and Paul's pinholes are great.

One from my very first roll through my new toy, a Voigtländer Bessa II. Pan F+ in Caffenol C-M(RS).

Yes, the weather drives me crazy to, since some years winter here is really cruel: dark, dull, gray, maybe 10 hours of sunshine since November. Brrrr.....

Finally got my blackout curtains fitted correctly and the bathroom is now a darkroom.  Enlarging is still down the road a bit but first thing I did was to take my newly-completed 127 loading device in there and spool up some HP5 from the Ilford ULF sale and shoot it.  Here are a couple of results.  Yashica 44, developed in HC-110B

I'm going through my pictures for the One Roll One Subject thread. Here are two that I will not include in that thread.
K1000, Agfa Vista 400, which sort of breaks up the black and white a bit, I guess :)

Thanks Limr, if you get one off eBay make sure it has the lens, I noticed some of them only have the frame.  I don't think the sellers realize it needs that part.

That firework shot is awesome!

Looks like a good weekend so far!

I got a pretty good laugh from this one of my parents dog Bisou.  it really explains what she was going through that day, i was watching their house for a few hours, this is her staring out the window, not wanting to go out when i open the door, but just wanting to sit and stare.
I love this Girl, half English bulldog & half blue healer,  but this doesn't really show her overly friendly attitude...

I was testing out the RZ67 with a roll of portra, at first i thought that red bit near the corner was a leak, but it was just my parents red wall.

I haven't developed anything this week, but I was digging around the attic and came across a couple of prints from college. Certainly taken with my Nikkormat FTn, can't remember what kind of film, but probably Plus-X. This was a sculpture on the Gonzaga University campus. If I recall, it was called "The Hand of God".

Lots of nice pictures as usual! We had a trifle of snow at X-mas so I loaded one camera with expired Tri-X ( ca 1990 ) and another with Ilford HP5+. The Tri-X came out with a rather spooky look.........

Been on hiatus with a combination of cold and work.

Really feeling Paul's first pinhole, 02Pilots tree and swirly bokeh, and Kentish Cob's moody leaves

I have a sample from my one subject one roll. "On set" is the subject. Alas I have to wait for the commercials to air before I can post my whole set. I'll leave it with this for now.

a little fog machine action. I find when gels burn they don't smoke quite like that. You can smell them but they more melt than anything. That or maybe I haven't been on set long enough to encounter such a thing  ;)

Here's one from my long-anticipated first roll of Arista Premium. I was hoping for some of Chad's cool grainy super-contrasty results, but instead I got something extremely similar to Tri-X (coincidence? perhaps not ;) ) Anyways, here: Arista Premium 400 shot at box speed, dunked in HC110H for 12 minutes.
