The weekend is upon us...29-31 August
« on: August 29, 2014, 04:04:36 AM »
Well, almost anyway. Close enough for government work.

I recently acquired a Voigtländer 21 f/4 for my LTM cameras, so I decided to take it out to play. Both of these shots are taken with it mounted on my Canon L1, on HP5+ shot at 200 and developed in Caffenol-C-H (RS).

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Edit** Ive decided to resubmit my weekend's submission because I did end up uploading my images early in the week. I have a lot of FW's on the flickr and Im sure they have already seen them. Here's a sequence that I shot consecutively. I'm not sure how well they work as it REALLY bothers me that the child's face is obscured. Really though, It's just a luck shot I even got anything there.

Ah, you see, that's the beauty of the 21 - I closed down the aperture, set a slow shutter speed, and zone focused (which ended up being something ridiculous like 1.5ft to infinity at f/22) before I started off, then just held it up next to my head and tripped the shutter.

Nothing freshly developed this week, so here's one from the recent past.

I was a bit borred so I loaded up my eos300v with some Fuji IT-N6 from labeauratoire and headed over tot a neighbouring town called Middelburg to hang around...
Shot the entire roll (20 exp) trough a sigma 10-20mm which gives funky results

I shall be in Yellowstone until mid next week (leaving in 1/2 hour!!) so here's one I shot last weekend on James' expired Ilford FP4. When I stand developed it in Rodinal 1:100, it came out WAY overdeveloped, so I had to pull it way back in LR. Got a few useable shots, like this one.

I ended up developing my first roll (expired Tri-X) from my new 1953 Hawkeye Flash Model. I did flip the lens just for fun while cleaning.

Guess which one is the athlete and which one is the actor!

It's still Labor Day weekend for me.  I shot this today with my Crown Graphic 4x5 press camera using a Graflex Optar f/4.7 135mm lens.  The film is Ilford Delta 100 semi-stand developed in 1-100 Rodinal for 1hour.

Tailing out the weekend. Packed a Nikonos V around the state fair in the rain.

First, so nice to not worry about the camera. Second, Ektar in the rain is lovely.

20140824-026 by knapjack, on Flickr

Unfortunately, in some shots I also had some lens flare from raindrops on the lens. That's a new one for me.
