Summer's End
« on: September 09, 2013, 08:50:55 PM »
These photos were taken at the end of August and mark the end of my summer after three months at home.  As luck would have it the UK has enjoyed one of the best summers in recent years and I spent many a happy mile exploring the local countryside during training rides.

My rides took my into some very picturesque countryside and these photographs were taken along one of the prettier sections of some of my rides.  Summer is over now and I'm back at work but I hope these photos do justice to the countryside of Hertfordshire.

Beautiful series. You used a Holga? And which film and how can you adjust the exposure for IR?

Thank you both for your comments.  I used a Holga loaded with Efke IR 820 -  I bought 30 rolls when Efke discontinued their Infra Red film and still have about 10 rolls left.

Ezzie - I'm not sure it's me so much as the landscapes that really make these pictures.  I have been very lucky this year to have had the time to dedicate to really exploring and appreciating the countryside near where I live and I think (and hope) that's what comes across from these images.
