BMW Judgement Day
« on: November 23, 2012, 02:44:00 AM »
Beside cameras, I've been a lot around old Beemers in my life. A friend of mine (on the photos) runs a chop shop for BMWs who have reached the end of their days. I used to have one of those 2002s also, but fortunately, his destiny was to be refurbished and sold to a loving new owner.

This was a Cross Process project. An expired ORWO NC21 100ASA was used, developed in some very old chemicals I found laying around. The camera, Praktica L2 of course.

Nice idea - sad to see all those old cars rotting away.

Very nice set.  Love BMWs too and have a nice newer one now (that my wife drives more than I do!).  Had a '96 before.  Love some of the older classics though.  Great subject matter here for B&W.  Thanks for sharing.

Actually, I have quite a lot of photo material inspired by old cars, BMWs in particular. It's soon to come...

Excellent set of photographs - whatever you used to develop them did a good job (where did the Orwo NP21 come from??)
I learnt to drive on a BMW 1800 in the late 70s! Happy Days.

About 10 years ago I had the hots for an 850i.

Fortunately financial sanity set in before I could buy one.  Still love the cars, just not the upkeep.

In college had a friend that drove a 2002.  Fun times...
