Diptychs
« on: October 26, 2010, 10:42:46 AM »
With the recent thread on how to make diptychs and the lucky coincidence of actually taking two images that work well together I thought I'd ask you guys to show your diptychs (or triptychs,  ...).

Mine was taken with a Polaroid OneStep closeup on PX 600 first flush. I'm still surprised on how well the images turned out. But then again, I was inside. Now I'm actually considering buying another pack of TIP film (but the UV+ I guess).

PS: The forum software will probably resize the image so you have to click on the image for the original image.

Here is a happy accident taken in Weston-Super-Mare with my Olympus XA2.  The film slipped and this happened.

Miller - i like those fluffy flower things, not sure what they're called. As a kid I used to call them "wet the beds"  ;D
Paul - love those flowers too!

I like to muck about with diptychs too.

Fabulous Miller!  Were those dandelions converted color, or were they Imposs. Project B/W's?

Thanks Miller :) My wife got me blankets with moose on them to go with my moose christmas cup ... That's the moose pillow case ... I wonder why that reminds me of the title sequence of The Holy Grail and why Llamas come to mind ;)

Anyway, great stuff that you guys posted!

loving this thread, some great shots here,

My yashica TL-Super has a fault where every now and again it wont wind the film properly (i think the sprockets slip on the holes or something) but it produces great results sometimes and I would love to know how to control it and harness its awesomeness :-P

camerasian: nicely lit up portraits. the contrast against the black background looks nice while toned down with a bit of color. the focus is what I think I like best though~

thom stone: maybe it's my little plastic heart beating but I really like diptychs that blend into each other. specially when it works so well like in your case

db: I really really really like that diptych of yours~ haha! not just what's going on, even though that's awesome, but the soft colours and so similar composition with just a little bit being off. it makes it feel static but alive to me.
