Here's my effort from yesterday's outing with a pinhole camera that I won last month from a competition/show in New Delhi, India.

Not shot this week, in fact, shot about 12 years ago.  But just scanned today for presentation concerning the changes to something as stationery as a landscape.

This was a 300mm on 4x5.

great work from all so far - welcome Harvey - a superb intro to the forum, I really like the car pics.

Diane - that's a great shot, and enhanced by the muted foreground colours and the almost monochrome background

Carl - great as ever - It seems you're really honing an individual style with your portraits.

Becky - kois and lilly pads in a pinhole style, really nice.

Miles - looking quite Mark Skorji there dare I say, which can only be a good thing of course.

keep them coming people.

After the cut and thrust of the "how do I turn my 5x4 field camera into a pinhole" thread of a couple of weeks ago, I finally find time to post an example snap showing that I did eventually get a setup together which enabled me to get a nice, wide exposure field from the Tachihara (even on the smaller size instant film).

This is a test shot using Fujifilm FP-100C. Exposure time was about 60 seconds. There was a major colour shift on this occasion. As noted elsewhere, the film goes a really dark blue on longer exposures. DOF is really good - as you'd expect; ignore my blurry face, that was down to me moving. I just need to think carefully about how I'd use the pinhole on my Tachihara in a serious way. One thing is that I currently only have a single lens (a 150mm), so the pinhole is another string to my bow in that regard.

New Mamiya 6 first pics.  I messed up my other B&W roll taken in daylight because a) I'm out of practice with 120; and b) the reel was messed up.

Anyway, I don't have pics to really evaluate the camera well, but what I see so far I like a lot.  Despite very dark conditions and handheld 1/8 sec shots, the sharpness of the lens comes through.  It's hard to tell with these flickr embeds, but the sh*t is sharp and the detail is really great.  It really does open up a whole new avenue for me.

Phil B, I really enjoyed looking thru your "mother-in-law" set on Flickr (lampshade included). There's something remarkably "still" about all the images.

Spent Sunday in the darkroom preparing 15 prints for Canon's New Cosmos of Photography competition. Titled "A Superpower Generation?", the entree depicts children in India shot in 2001/2002. Many of these kids will now be adults in the "new" India.

Wow all round.

@sapata- a civilised kitchen always must have at least two different ways of producing coffee. Well done sir I say.

As for me- having half-frame joy with the Konica Auto-Reflex P. Review to follow when I've made my mind up (quick summary- I love it). Went to the Start festival in Copenhagen- it pissed profusely with rain but it was fun:

Never thought my kitchen would be so cool  :D

Like a child with a toy that has just been given,  I was holding this camera for the whole day... until I saw this beautiful sun light coming through the window... never had in my mind how the picture would come out but I was just in hope to capture that moment.
