Title: Merry Christmas
Post by: Francois on December 21, 2017, 08:38:27 PM
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Only three days left before Christmas!

So, it's time to start celebrating :)

Here's a nice picture of my very jolly poinsettia.  ;)
I just hope the same thing won't happen to the tree  :o
I think it's going to be my new flower foul from now on  ;D

On Saturday I have a 12 hour drive to get home for Christmas.  After working 12-hours per day for 3 weeks without a day off I can't wait to start celebrating.  I also have a few rolls of film to develop when I get home.

I haven't taken a photo of the Festivus pole yet, but it's, you know, an aluminum pole. I find tinsel distracting.

We went to see Deep Purple in Manchester in what seems like July - but was only a month or so ago.  Voigtlander Vitomatic II and Portra 400.

I hope you all have a great festive season.

This is what happens if you don't put any creamed rice on the window sill for the Christmas gnomes.

It’s a brutal holiday, severed trees, slaughtered geese, reindeer bullies, a fat guy breaking into your house...

I have been on a creative break while dealing with some personal stuff, so I haven't really gone out to take some pictures. I walked around Philadelphia for 5 hours last weekend and only shot 10 frames, enough to finish the roll of Provia that I had loaded in my camera 3 weeks prior...

Here's a tree, maybe not a Christmas tree, but... Taken with an Olympus XA and Kodak Ektar 100.

Hope everyone has a great Christmas.  I've got my Bessa R2a loaded with Fuji Natura 1600 to take photos of family and friends over the holidays.

All the best from Canada.

My way to observe the Winter Solstice is to take a picture, facing north, at the moment of solstice—11:28am, yesterday, here on the east coast of North America—and hope for the best.

Here's hoping for the best to all.  Merry Christmas.

Are you going to get that monster snow storm that's heading for Montreal?

Two weeks ago we had a bit of snow, now it's raining and the forecast is rain, rain, rain. But we won't let it depress us, every day now it's getting brighter.  :)

Merry Christmas everyone and lots of blessings.

Some photos of a snowy cemetery (not exactly Christmas themed but at least there's snow ;) ). Lipca Rollop I, Fomapan 400.

Christmas 1966. I was 13 and finally old enough to be trusted with a "real" camera, a used Exakta VX and 50-ish mm lens I convinced my dad to buy for $15 (if memory serves). This picture of a younger cousin was a rare occasion for color, probably because we didn't have any B+W film in the house over the holidays. Fifty years on, I can't recall whether we had a strobe by that point or if I was using a flashgun and M3 bulbs.

My memory of the Exakta is that it was somewhat of a beast to use, but that I had (very) occasional success with it. I was mostly afraid of forgetting to wind the film and shutter after making an exposure, and burning the shutter. (I have the same fear today when using the Leicas, but so far have been lucky.)

Best wishes and happy Filmwasting to all.

I'm on the west coast of Canada...about 3000 km away.  We're all good with a sunny day...albeit at +1 degree C.

May I proffer seasonal humbugs to all.
And I hope your light is soft, darkroom dark and bellows tight. I expect mine to be by the time Boxing day arrives.

Merry Christmas everyone. It's been another great year in our little bright spot on the information superhighway. Thanks to everyone for contributing. Here is a Christmas cactus (figuratively speaking) from San Diego.

Happy Christmas everyone! This is a non-denominational angel come to wish you all a seasonal greeting while trying to look calm even though she is tangled in overhead cabling.

We got a very rare white Christmas in the Seattle area today!  It's only happened twice in my lifetime and a few other times in the last century so we're pretty excited.  We had about 4 inches at my house so I've been shooting away with the 8MM movie camera, the View-Master camera and the Polaroid 250 land camera.  These were both shot on Fuji FP-3000b.  I also spent the day making a batch of home brew beer and developing a roll of film in beer.  We could hear my neighbors grandchild screaming "IT SNOWED", they proceeded to build the snowmen pictured below.  The other is my house in a blanket of snow.

Yeah, putting up a christmas tree like that and lighting it up in front of other trees seems a bit brutal ;D

t'was a bit of an adventure climbing out on a icy roof for that shot haha
