Title: The little camera goes to the big city
Post by: calbisu on March 21, 2017, 09:30:36 AM
Even though I do not live that far away from Barcelona, I do not visit it much. In fact I sometimes go to ride my enduro MTB in the hills behind Barcelona but I barely put my feet in Barcelona. This time, and with the excuse of my RICOH GR1 purchase, and the main forum threat about street photograhy, I decided I would walk around and take some photos.

First feeling with the Ricoh, wow, this camera is like holding nothing, a real P&S. Most of the time I use the snap option, I tended to use close appertures, from 5.6 to 8. In day light areas no problem, but when I started to walk in alleys at the end of they I shoudl have used wider apertures. May be I did, but I was also shooting from the hip, and sometimes not even stoppin, so no wonder about the blurred shots, which on the other hand still show what I intended to shoot at. At least I think sho  :P

I shot 1 roll of Kodak Trix 400, and I am still getting used to the camera. The flash is not that strong, the lens is great, it focuses fast, the snap mode is a blast... I just miss the option to select speed manually, but well, nothing is perfect.

And about street photography, Oh damn, a difficult art...
