Nice technique. One of your subjects look familiar!
-
And with only two images, it's even easier!
Just use Stereo Photo Maker's Make animated GIF function...

Does the stereo GIF give a static 3D illusion -- I imagine it might if it rapidly goes back and forth between the two images -- rather than the movement effect you get with the 4 images?

My gif's bigger than yours!

And more scary.

Well, stereo images are a lot less smooth than the 4 image gifs.
To make them better, I think I'd need to put them in movie maker, animate the transition and then reconvert to gif...
Or if you know of a morphing program that can do the matrices in a semi automatic fashion, that would be fantastic.
Here's a sample

But with a bit of brains, you can turn the jumpy seizure inducing dual image jump into this.
Since we're limited to 200kb here, I made it small and jumpy. But it can be made bigger and smoother with next to no effort.
-
I would align the two images to keep the foreground subject static and the environment around her move.
-
That would also be possible.
I just did it the quick and dirty way.
The frame is not too even so I need to be more careful when I set the corners.
Still, its pretty amazing for something done with only two images.
And you should see it with more frames!

Found an N8000 on eBay for cheap. Loaded a roll of expired fomapan 100 and grabbed some quick shots for a test. Opened the tank during development by accident (stupidity). But, this is going to be fun when I get in front of some subjects that will really suit the medium. Photoshop has an animation window, who knew? (I'v only been using it since the early 90s) :P
Thanks for the how to!

You're welcome! That looks really cool!

Now I'm regretting getting rid of my Nishika N8000 a few years ago.

Personally, I have a certain criteria when it comes to cameras when choosing which ones to keep:
1. Is it really nice to use?
2. Is it so weird that it will get people talking?
If it falls in at least one of those categories, it's a keeper.

We had some fun playing with the camera on Halloween. I was looking through a book of Victorian stereographs and many were hand-tinted, so I thought I'd give that a quick and not so staying within the lines go.
