Filmwasters
Which Board? => Resources => Topic started by: zapsnaps on September 10, 2013, 10:49:20 AM

Just bought a half-plate tailboard (see the I just picked up thread, page 5). I'd like to have a metal frame from a larger format cut down (laser or spark?) to fit 4x5 film size, but to still fit inside a book folder slide so that it looks original, but has the benefit of taking current film size.
I know that there is a camera machinist in the States, but I'm hoping to find one in the UK. Any suggestions, please? And before anyone suggests that I invest in a hacksaw and do it myself, I'm a firm believer in professional help and knowing my limitations. I've developed the 'concept' as contemporary artists say, now I need an atelier to realise my vision, as contemporary artists also require, as I understand.
Many thanks in advance for any suggestions. Other than "Go and buy a d*****l back".

Hi Leon
Thanks for the reply. In the interim, I've managed to bodge something together myself. Now all I need is to try it out.
Cheers
