C-41 is a very particular process in that it's much different from any B&W process.
So, when something goes wrong, it can be hard to pinpoint what didn't go according to plan.

Well now, this actually serves more to give me ideas on what to do to screw with the process and get abnormal results :) They list bleach bypass there, which I've done, and the "inadequate fixing" looks interesting too (maybe in combination with bleach bypass?? developer straight into stabiliser?), and I may try to overheat the developer to get reticulation. Thanks for this! :D

yes, I've seen some example of contaminated developer that actually looked very interesting.
