Title: Patent plans for Wet Plate Collodion Headrest
Post by: original_ann on December 23, 2012, 05:17:57 PM
This is wonderful.  If you can find a local blacksmith or craftman, you may be able to have them create the perfect headrest.  Look at photographer's Borut Peterlin's headrest and find the plans here:

Actually, this could be made from cut plywood!
Granted you'd need a pretty heavy base to prevent it from tipping over, but it definitely would work.
Plumbing steel pipe, plywood, cement and a few things here and there and you can be all set.

Well, I must admit that I'm not the best when it comes to making good cement...
Forging... that's a whole different ballpark from what I'm used to do.

That is pretty sweet!  It's a work of art itself.

Like many things they used to make in the old days.
I'm not into antique stuff but I always appreciate the craftsmanship that went into the pieces they made.

I thought it was pretty funny that whoever it was in the bed, didn't even bother getting up while he was filming that! LOL!
