Some films are cheaper than the usual BH and adorama, also they give a discount usually starting at orders over 20 rolls/packs.  The fuji instant films are the best prices I've found.

I came across this store today:

http://www.surplusshed.com/ (http://www.surplusshed.com/)

They have a *ton* of optic components for lenses there. This would be great for someone building or modifying their own lens. A highlight - I found a 195mm f1.25 triplet for $250 there :D No assembly or housing or anything.

They say they bought out Wollensak's assets when they went belly-up, which explains their massive stock.

Don't let the name fool you -- Digital Truth (http://"http://www.digitaltruth.com/") sells film, paper, chemicals, darkroom equipment, etc. They also host the MDC (http://"http://www.digitaltruth.com/devchart.php").

For those on the hunt for a Portrait attachment for the Polaroid 195.

Check out landcameras.com.

They are making a step-up ring (44.5mm) and fitting it with a new 49mm close up lens and goggles. I have found that their kit is half the price that the old originals are going for on the evilbay site.

The View Camera Store, http://www.viewcamerastore.com/servlet/StoreFront (http://www.viewcamerastore.com/servlet/StoreFront)

Good source for large format, and for all BTZS items including a film testing service.

Photographers' Formulary for all you DIYers:

But my best tip is if you get a gift card for Amazon, spend it on film.

I guess mentioning suppliers to avoid is just as relevant?

I recently had a bad experience with USCamera. They supply mainly parts, manuals, that sort of thing.

Probably fine if everything works out but I never received my order and their customer service is second to everyone - in other words, truly bad. Absolutely refused to help.

So if you do use them, make sure you use Paypal so you're covered.
