Fortunate as I am to live in an area surrounded by temperate rain forests, my eye sometimes yearns for colours and hues that aren't a shade of green! Traveling away from home, I found a place, almost like another world, that offered such rich contrasts; ochre, brown, red (and yes, some green) competing with almost surreal blue skies that my need for different colours was quenched for a while...
